Reviewed Bloody Sunday Enquiry on behalf of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) after the conclusion of Public Enquiry chaired by Lord Saville. Instigated criminal enquiry.
Provided expert advice on covert Police tactics to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), formerly IPCC on historic allegations made by members of the Hillsborough disaster families against UK Police Forces.
Head of Murder Review Group. Responsibility and accountability for review of all unsolved murder investigations and Critical Incidents within the Metropolitan Police Service if unsolved after 28 days, including child murders and historic series sexual abuse allegations.
SIO. Investigated homicide in London including management of high-profile cases requiring national and international intervention and media assistance.
Responsible for the investigation of homicide, child murders and unexplained deaths, sudden infant death syndrome and series sexual abuse allegations.


Intelligence:

As SIO for Review of Bloody Sunday. Responsible for Intelligence Strategy that included liaison with PSNI (FIB), National Crime Agency (NCA), MoD, Security Services, Cabinet Office and Northern Ireland Office.
Negotiated and introduced Memorandum of Understandings between the Cabinet Office, Ministry of Defence and Treasury Solicitors Department for access and transfer of highly classified and sensitive material to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Associate Inspector (Serious & Organised Crime and Intelligence Lead)

Lead Inspection into the National Crime Agency on National Tasking and National Intelligence requirements. Responsible for the liaison with all Chief Constables (Police) Law Enforcement Agency Heads.
Serious and Organised Crime Lead Inspector. Led Inspections across all UK Police Forces on their response to Serious and Organised Crime and Organised Crime Groups.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:

Associate Lecturer at University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) on Policing delivering the Major Crimes Inquiries and Homicide Investigations modules to Undergraduates and Masters students.
Associate Inspector, Serious & Organised Crime, Investigations and Intelligence Lead with Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Service (formerly HMIC). Led Inspections throughout UK Police Forces.

Head of Security and delivered successful security operation at Greenwich Royal Park for LOCOG at London Olympics 2012. Led MOD teams and Armed Services, Metropolitan Police Service and G4S security to deliver services to support general public and members of the Royal Family. Managed installation of specialised security fencing, security systems and CCTV.
Operational Commander responsible for the event security and protection of participants at both the Labour and Conservative Party Conferences.
