He is Clinical Director of the Talbot Clinic. He has been a practising Dental Surgeon since 1977 and currently maintains a busy clinical workload in addition to his teaching commitments. During that time, he has gained extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry with specialisation involving Restorative Dentistry which includes:

Crowns and Bridges (Caps)
Dentures (Dental Plates)
Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)
Periodontics (Gum Disease Treatment)
Implantology (Screw-in Roots)

He has held hospital appointments for over 15 years which involved clinical, research and teaching activities. He has held consultant appointments in restorative dentistry in St George's Hospital, London, Kingston in Surrey and Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire. He held a Research Fellow appointment at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, London, involved with clinical research activity related to the use of implants, 1991-1992. He held an Honorary Consultant Appointment in Restorative Dentistry in the Head and Neck Oncology Unit at Poole Hospital in Dorset, 2007 - 2009. He is a nationally recognised Expert.

He provides 75-100 reports/year receiving instructions from Counsel representing Claimants 65%, Defendants 25% and Joint 10%. handling complex cases involving severe dental injuries and complex dental negligence cases.
Last Courtroom appearance at Dublin High Court in 2005. "
