Dr Kyle Gilmour MB ChB. MD, FRCOG Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

I have spent 28 years working as a medical practitioner in Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice. For the last
18 years I have worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest
in emergency gynaecology care, laparoscopic and major gynaecological surgery and
gynaecological cancer care. I am currently the lead clinician for gynaecological cancer and
colposcopy. I am an appraiser for consultant medical staff at the trust. I have experience in
carrying out internal investigations of clinical incidents at the trust and I am an Educational
Supervisor for senior doctors in training. I have previously, for 4 years, worked as the Clinical
Director for the obstetrics and gynaecology division and during this time was departmental
governance lead.

Areas include:
Gynaecology. Gynaecology surgery. Laparoscopic gynaecological surgery. Hysterectomy.
Surgery on ovaries: cyst removal and removal of ovaries. Menopause. Operative Obstetric
injuries at Caesarean section, perineal trauma at instrumental deliveries and normal vaginal
births. Personal injury involving obstetric complications and gynaecological injuries
