Dr. Damian J. Kelly (http:// www.cardiologyexpert.co.uk) is a Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Director of Specialist Medicine University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB)
Dr Kelly was appointed consultant cardiologist at Royal Derby Hospital in 2011.

He specializes in Interventional Cardiology (coronary angioplasty and stenting or Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, PCI) and all aspects of general cardiology including heart attack and angina.
Dr Kelly provides expert reports across the range of adult cardiology. He writes around 25 medico-legal reports for civil medicolegal cases per year, with a split of c.50% claimant, 40% defendant and 10% as joint expert. Sub-specialist reports can be commissioned across cardiovascular medicine

Feedback has been excellent and he receives regular instruction from a number of solicitors. Dr Kelly believes access to legal compensation is a right for all patients and a key driver for service improvement and patient safety. Solicitors and claimants also require prompt information regarding cases which are unlikely to progress.
Dr Kelly regularly attends appropriate courses to maintain professional expertise in medico-legal matters. He is widely published; authoring papers, abstracts and book chapters.
